He received his B.Sc (Honours) from The University of Adelaide, Australia, where he completed majors in Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Physics. He completed his Ph.D in Systems Biology at Harvard University, USA, in the laboratory of Roy Kishony, where he investigated the effects of genetic interactions and drug interactions on the evolution and mechanisms of antibiotic resistance. Adam is presently researching the contributions of synergy and cross-resistance in combination chemotherapies that overcome the evolution of resistance, in the laboratory of Peter Sorger.
